Metro has conducted its environmental review for the project and engaged Pre-Development Agreement (PDA) teams to assist in assessing and refining potential project options. Six possible transit options are being considered: three heavy rail alternatives and three monorail alternatives. <\/p>\n
The open houses will deliver information specific to the potential station locations and their entrances under investigation and will enable asking questions of agency staff and consultants, plus the Pre-Development Agreement (PDA) team.<\/p>\n
The Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project will be split into two distinct parts: an initial segment transiting between the San Fernando Valley and Westside and a second segment from the Westside to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). <\/p>\n
The project is financed in part by Measure M, the transportation sales tax authorized by 71% of L.A. County voters in 2016. The Measure M allocation plan determined USD9.5 bn in funding from local, state, and federal sources USD 5.7 bn for the Valley-Westside segment and USD3.8 bn for the Westside-LAX segment.<\/p>\n
