{"id":9317,"date":"2022-12-03T12:56:30","date_gmt":"2022-12-03T12:56:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=9317"},"modified":"2022-12-03T12:56:30","modified_gmt":"2022-12-03T12:56:30","slug":"cpk-starts-the-design-for-polish-high-speed-rail-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=9317","title":{"rendered":"CPK Starts the Design for Polish High-Speed Rail Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After awarding the first design contracts for the 140-kilometre line by project organization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpk.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CPK<\/a>, Poland\u2019s first high-speed railway between the Polish capital of Warsaw and \u0141\u00f3d\u017a will be constructed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first package of the project divides into three parts:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The section from Warsaw to Bolim\u00f3w village, nearly the halfway point of the submitted railway<\/li>\n<li>The section from Bolim\u00f3w to \u0141\u00f3d\u017a<\/li>\n<li>And a deal for the GSM-R network<\/li>\n<ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">BPK Pozna\u0144 will perform the last work, while Biuro Projekt\u00f3w Metroprojekt and Egis will design the sections of the railway, respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The complete package is worth about 300 million Polish zloty or 64 million euros.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the new high-speed line will have a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, once completed, the trains can move at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. As a result, the travel time between Warsaw and \u0141\u00f3d\u017a will be reduced to nearly 45 minutes. When the second stage onward to Pozna\u0144 is finished, travelers will travel for only 2 hours instead of 3 to reach Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Primary construction works on phase one are anticipated to begin near year-end 2023, with work starting in earnest the following year. The first construction tender which is one for the 4-kilometre train tunnel near \u0141\u00f3d\u017a was issued earlier in November.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The high-speed rail works are associated with the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny project, Poland\u2019s new Greenfield airport that will be constructed almost 40 kilometers from Warsaw.
