{"id":7552,"date":"2022-06-22T04:52:08","date_gmt":"2022-06-22T04:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=7552"},"modified":"2022-06-22T04:52:08","modified_gmt":"2022-06-22T04:52:08","slug":"chinas-sub-lake-tunnel-first-tbm-is-ready","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=7552","title":{"rendered":"China\u2019s Sub-Lake Tunnel First TBM is ready"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While the tunneling process is due to be commenced on Wuhan\u2019s Two Lakes Tunnel Project, Donghu, the first of the two slurry, water, and air-balanced TBMs for the project, is in the location and will excavate the 3.1km section among the working shaft at Fengguang Village and the Hubei Provinical Museum.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> Manufactured by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.crhic.cn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Co Ltd<\/a>, a subsidiary of China Railway Group, the two TBMs, Donghu and Zhengxian have a 15.09 m diameter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The intended Wuhan Two Lakes Tunnel, which is a road project connecting South and East lakes in Central China&#8217;s Hubei Province, is considered the world\u2019s largest urban sub-lake tunnel project.
