Preparing the concrete work for the cross connections, the teams can conclude tunnel’s completing works that comprise of barriers, emergency exit doors, cables and the installation of traffic management and tunnel safety equipment.<\/p>\n

Installation of 13 km of concrete barriers were done over January, while it caused a separation between the wall and the carriageway on the N434. Just before Christmas, the southern tunnel tube was also given its first layer of asphalt.<\/p>\n

Operation of the fourth and ultimate phase, which was the construction of the accompanying bicycle tunnel, is due to be implemented the route between Leiden and Katwijk this summer.<\/p>\n
