In order to assist the construction of six tunnel service buildings, High Speed 2 (HS2) main contractor EKFB, that is a joint venture between Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction, and Bam Nuttall, is searching for a civil engineering and groundworks subcontractor.<\/p>\n
According to EKFB’s last contract information, the domain of works is going to consist of civil engineering and groundworks associated with portal buildings and surrounding portal compounds at either end of the Chipping Warden, Greatworth, and Wendover tunnels.<\/p>\n
More specifically, this will entail earthworks along with backfilling, constructing the reinforced concrete foundation raft, installing service chambers and ducting systems for cablings, surfacing of the compounds, installing 100m3 water tanks, utility, and drainage works, installing security fencing and access gates, and landscaping post-construction.<\/p>\n
Determined deadline for companies to register their interest is 19 November 2021.<\/p>\n
Although EKFB aims to grab the contract in April 2022, the works process is due to be commenced from December 2022 until the end of 2023.<\/p>\n
Lots C2 and C3 of phase one of HS2 are the sections that are considered to be delivered by EKFB JV.
