{"id":3458,"date":"2021-05-20T08:16:27","date_gmt":"2021-05-20T08:16:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=3458"},"modified":"2021-05-20T08:16:27","modified_gmt":"2021-05-20T08:16:27","slug":"ita-starts-up-its-7th-tunnelling-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=3458","title":{"rendered":"ITA starts up its 7th Tunnelling awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Frequently the ground-breaking innovation and outstanding projects in tunnelling and underground space utilization, are the purpose of the international competition &#8220;the ITA Tunnelling Awards&#8221; for rewarding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 7th edition of the international tunnelling and underground space awards welcomes new applications, ITA is now calling for new candidates to apply.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2021, while it will be again a digital event the ITA Awards will have a brief change in the categories to better determine what is envisaged in this year\u2019s category, &#8220;Beyond Engineering &#8211; Making Underground Works Projects Even Better&#8221; instead of it previously being called &#8220;Overcoming the challenges&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The nomination procedure is like below and the Entries can be submitted in 8 categories:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\u200dMajor Project of the Year &#8211; over \u20ac500 million<\/li>\n<li>Project of the Year &#8211; between \u20ac50 million &amp; \u20ac500 million<\/li>\n<li>Project of the Year Incl. Renovation &#8211; up to \u20ac50 million<\/li>\n<li>Technical Innovation of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Beyond Engineering &#8211; making underground works projects even better<\/li>\n<li>Oddities of the Underground<\/li>\n<li>Innovative &amp; contributing underground spaces<\/li>\n<li>Young Tunneller of the Year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The determined deadline for Entries is June 30, 2021 and <a href=\"https:\/\/awards.ita-aites.org\/account-creation%20%20%20\">here<\/a> you can find the submission requirements and selection process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u200dNominations for the different categories must be related to projects for which the major civil engineering work was completed between 1st January 2019 and 1st April 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The youth person who is born after 1\/ 01\/ 1986 and has brought a prominent contribution to tunnelling will receive The Young Tunneller of the Year reward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For further information, please visit this <a href=\"https:\/\/awards.ita-aites.org\/\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Frequently the ground-breaking innovation and outstanding projects in tunnelling and underground space utilization, are the purpose of the international competition &#8220;the ITA Tunnelling Awards&#8221; for rewarding.
