The show had been planned to take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, October 13-16, 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As what Messe Muenchen has announced, the decision was made after in-depth consultations with industry stakeholders and comes amid ongoing restrictions and bans on international travel to and from South Africa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Normally, the event happens every three years, which means that the next time it is held would not be until 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDue to the challenges the industry is facing, and uncertainty in the market around the Covid-19 pandemic and associated travel restrictions, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcafrica.com\">bauma Conexpo Africa<\/a> advisory board concluded that we could not guarantee the international stature and the usual return on investment of this show in 2021,\u201d stated Suzette Scheepers, CEO of Messe Muenchen South Africa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the moment, South Africa is one of the most travel banned areas in the world, with more than 120 major bans and restrictions from other countries in place and strict post-travel quarantine rules in place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From March 2020 on, most of the construction trade events have either been cancelled, postponed, or taken place as virtual ones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The press release concluded by stating that, \u201cStakeholders agree that the industry needs to work towards economic recovery and revitalisation amid the current challenges it faces, so that we can all look forward to collaborating to make the next edition of bauma Conexpo Africa a success.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The organizers of bauma Conexpo Africa, Messe Muenchen South Africa, have declared that the exhibition will not go on according to what was scheduled.
