Approximately 80,000 visitors joined November\u2019s Buama China expo in Shanghai. It was a decrease of 62% from the 212,500 in 2018, although organizer Messe M\u00fcnchen believed that it was a positive result given the pandemic.<\/p>\n
The exhibition was seriously affected by Covid-19, which forbade travelers from outside of China from joining and also eliminated domestic visitors. A small outbreak in Shanghai in the days before the show would also have been a deterrent.<\/p>\n
However, Terex stated the show \u201cexceeded our expectations\u201d and Volvo CE stated the event was one that OEMs \u201cdo not want to miss\u201d.<\/p>\n
In spite of the decreased scale, it was still the greatest construction exhibition staged since the onset of the pandemic. It attracted 2,867 exhibitors, a 15% decrease on 2018.<\/p>\n
