Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (<em>MMRCL<\/em>) delivered another section of The Mumbai Metro Line 3 on Oct. 16th.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A 653-m long drive from Churchgate to Hutatma Chowk station was completed to increase network connectivity and better access to Mumbai&#8217;s business centers in the city&#8217;s south area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to build the proposed station, Robbins-made dual-mode hard rock TBM used two mixed tunneling construction methods, including the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (<em>NATM<\/em>) in addition to Cut-and-Cover. Surya-2 has finished this downline stretch in 275 days, installing 502 rings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Ranjit Singh Deol, Managing Director of MMRC, stated: <em>&#8220;The presence of iconic Flora Fountain and various heritage buildings made out the task a bit challenging.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To date, the overall development of this project covers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>60% of civil work has been completed<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>88% of total boring has been accomplished <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Less than 50% of the Hutatma Chowk station construction remains<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mumbai Metro project aims to serve Mumbai, Maharashtra, and the broader metropolitan region.
