The machine is going to be used by Michigan Engineers (contractor) working for the MCGM (Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe length of the first drive will be 1,857m. The Mumbai Sewer Disposal Project is one of a series of sewage projects being started by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai in its efforts to improve the reliability and quality of wastewater collection, treatment and disposal for an ever-growing population.<br \/>\nThe TBM is designed to get through different geological conditions along tunnel alignments characterized by mixed ground, breccia and basalt. It shows off 25 rings of 17\u201d rear-replaceable disc cutters and a high-torque main drive that is able to rotate up to five rpm. Moreover, it is equipped with a fully-active articulation system to accommodate a minimum curve radius of 250m. Because of the installation of a full hyperbaric man-lock and size constraints, the TBM\u2019s main drive is hydraulic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAs the machine develops, its erector will install 200mm x 1,000mm reinforced concrete segments in a 4+1 configuration.
