The Yonge North Subway Extension will extend Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Line 1 approximately 8km north, bringing rapid transit service to communities in Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill.<\/p>\n
Once both machines are assembled and launched, they will excavate southwards from the launch shaft towards Finch Station. Each TBM will construct one of the twin tunnels, connecting the extension to the existing Line 1 subway service.<\/p>\n
