Following excavating a 2.24km-long tunnel, the Herrenknecht EPB shield TBM, which has a diameter of 5.94m, broke through.<\/p>\n
Linking the existing raw water pipe to the new water plant, the tunnel is due to house two new, 1,400m-diameter steel pipes.<\/p>\n
In order to preparing the 34m-deep launch shaft for this TBM, Herrenknecht delivered a 14.9m vertical shaft sinking machine in previous year.<\/p>\n
