As the first new road harbour crossing in 30 years, the Western Harbour Tunnel is designed to ease traffic flow on major artillery roads such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Western Distributor, and Anzac Bridge. Construction of a 6.3km-long tunnel with three lanes in each direction is a content of this project and it is due to cross underneath Sydney Harbour, linking the WestConnex with the Warringah Freeway at North Sydney.<\/p>\n
In April, the first of the project\u2019s two TBMs passed its factory acceptance test.<\/p>\n
