As a critical link between the water intake diffuser, this transition tunnel is gate shaft and the 17km headrace tunnel.<\/p>\n
The concrete pour required 566.5m2 of formwork; 108 tonnes of steel reinforcement; and 800m3 of concrete. The base, walls and crown were poured in stages over 44 hours 45 minutes.<\/p>\n
