The Indian company MEIL gets the better of its opponents Larsen &amp; Toubro and Iron International, to place the lowest bid for $1.96 billion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nNitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, said: &#8220;We are also starting work on the around Rs 7,500-Rs 8,000 crore Zojila tunnel to connect Ladakh.&#8221;<br \/>\nShortly the project will be implemented within seven years. The strategic Zojila Pass will be used as a permanent link (9.5m width and 7.6 height) from Srinagar to Kargil, marking a critical step toward accessing Leh even in unfavorable weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nMEIL stated earlier <em>&#8220;This whole project has to be executed in two parts.
