{"id":18752,"date":"2025-03-06T04:35:33","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T04:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=18752"},"modified":"2025-03-06T04:35:33","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T04:35:33","slug":"toulouse-metro-line-c-project-advance-of-lise-enjalbert-tbm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=18752","title":{"rendered":"Toulouse Metro Line C Project &#8211; Advance of Lise-Enjalbert TBM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Lise-Enjalbert tunnel boring machine (TBM), which is working on the Toulouse Metro tunnel, is on track to reach its next stop, as French construction company Effage announced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While the launching location of Lise-Enjalbert for its 4.2km excavation was Ponts-Jumeaux station towards Puits Laporte, it is slated to halt at the future Sept Deniers \u2013 Stade Toulousain station.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to advanicng the excavation at Toulouse, Eiffage transported its Lise-Enjalbert TBM from its refurbishment workshop in Thieux in November last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The TBM\u2019s assembly, including its five trailers, are expected to be completed progressively as it advances, allowing it to reach full operational capacity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the aim of accommodating the tunnel\u2019s initial structure, similar to the earlier TBMs, Jeanne-Marvig and Berthe-de-Puybusque, this TBM has been operating in partial mode.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 4km excavation process of Jeanne Marvig is from Colomiers Gare Shaft to Laporte Shaft, and it intends to reach its first breakthrough by year-end.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Being christened on 31 October at the future La Vache Station, Berthe de Puybusque has commenced its 2.5km journey from La Vache \u2013 Le Grand March\u00e9 Station to Ponts-Jumeaux Station.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Construction of a new 27km metro line in the Toulouse metropolitan area, with 21 stops, including five interconnections with railway stations, are the contents of the Toulouse Metro Line C project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Its daily offer of a clean mobility solution, is for more than 200,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new metro line is expected to decarbonise the transport sector by avoiding 28,700 tons of CO2 each year and strengthen the mobility offer for commuters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lise-Enjalbert tunnel boring machine (TBM), which is working on the Toulouse Metro tunnel, is on track to reach its next stop, as French construction company Effage announced.
