<\/p>\nThe finalists of the prestigious Harding Prize 2025, that is an award recognising outstanding contributions from young tunneling engineers, has been unveiled by British Tunnelling Society (BTS).<\/p>\n
On March 20, 2025, the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), One Great George Street, Westminster, London, will host the final lecture event and two finalists have been selected to present their research papers:<\/p>\n
Christopher Prince (Align JV) \u2013 Innovation sustainability \u2013 water treatment in tunneling, based on lessons learned from recycling water during the construction of the Chiltern Tunnels.<\/p>\n
Sidhant Kaul (HOCHTIEF-MURPHY Joint Venture \u2013 HMJV) \u2013 TBM transition through Kidbrooke Shaft, tackling engineering challenges in the London Power Tunnels Phase 2 Project.<\/p>\n

As a key highlight of the BTS calendar, the Harding Prize, named after Sir Harold Harding, the Society\u2019s founding chairman. Celebrating original research and innovations that contribute to the tunneling industry, it is open to tunneling engineers under 33.<\/p>\n
