In order to providing preliminary and detailed design for a new underground metro line in Stockholm, the winner of two of the three contracts is a Typsa\/Ramboll consortium.<\/p>\n
Stretching from Fridhemsplan to \u00c4lvsj\u00f6, the 8km-long Yellow Line is part of the national transport infrastructure development plan and is funded by the Swedish government and the municipalities in Stockholm.<\/p>\n
The intention for metro extension project will be using Typsa and Ramboll\u2019s experience of stations, TBMs, underground structures, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering.<\/p>\n
Involving six stations, the new metro line is due to run through bedrock and beneath an inlet of Lake M\u00e4laren, whereas the date of commencing two contracts will be autumn this year and will continue until completion of the line.<\/p>\n
According to Fredrik Lilliesk\u00f6ld, country director Typsa in Sweden: “We are proud to continue our contribution to the sustainable growth and the urban development of Stockholm. We will bring our international experience and team of world-class TBM specialists to support Stockholm to successful completion of the Yellow Line project.”<\/p>\n
