The working process of first Chinese-made TBM to be used in Switzerland has commenced on a water conveyance tunnel.<\/p>\n
Being manufactured by China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Ltd (CRCHI), this double shield TBM started normal digging on September 29 after completing the guided tunnel stepping works at Ingenbohl, on the eastern side of Lake Lucerne.<\/p>\n
Linking Ingenbohl city with the resort of Brunnen, this water conveyance tunnel is due to be almost 1.2km long and have a drainage capacity of 2800m3 per hour and the scheduled date for its completion is next year.<\/p>\n
With around 110m length, this machine has 1700KW of installed power and is equipped with anchor drilling rigs, concrete spraying equipment, advanced drilling and detecting devices, and supporting devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
