As the world\u2019s largest underground rail link,BBT SE will be at InnoTrans 2024 to highlight the progress and technical aspects of the 64km Brenner Base Tunnel, whereas Egypt\u2019s Orascom Construction is due to outline its involvement in current large-scale projects such as Egypt\u2019s first high-speed rail link, which will be the sixth longest in the world.<\/p>\n
Valente SpA, which is specialises in muck disposal vehicles, custom vehicles, and mixers as well as high-performance diesel as well as electric locomotives, based in Milan and will present its range of products for the tunnelling and mining sector.<\/p>\n

In order to ensuring occupational safety during rail track work on temporary tunnel construction sites, CFT GmbH will present its turnkey solutions, while the products include shaft ventilation, dust removal, provision of measuring systems and additional services such as rail logistics and geo tracking systems.<\/p>\n
“At InnoTrans 2024 we are presenting our latest innovative mobile ventilation modules which are ideal for maintenance work on short tunnel sections,” said area tunnel renovation manager Patrick Schneider.<\/p>\n
As a presenter of water-resistant injection resins, Webac-Chemie GmbH will display its range of polyurethane, epoxy and silicate resins as well as injection gels and special products for hardening and sealing floor surfaces.<\/p>\n
Additionally, exhibitors include Sch\u00fc\u00dfler-Plan GmbH, which is currently supervising construction of Hamburg\u2019s new U 5 metro line; Amberg Technologies AG; and DB Bahnbau Gruppe.<\/p>\n
Being organised by the Research Association for Tunnels and Transportation Facilities, the International Tunnel Forum, on September 25 and 26, will focus on current challenges and sustainability efforts.<\/p>\n
Sustainability in tunneling will be the first day’s concentration and it include Heinz Ehrbar, InfraGO\u2019s representative on the German Tunnelling Committee, addressing underground construction in accordance with UN sustainability goals; Benoit de Rivaz from NV Bekaert SA discussing low-carbon precast segment lining using steel fibre-reinforced concrete; and Professor Dr.-Ing. Christoph Budach from Technische Hochschule K\u00f6ln exploring tunnelling as a source of raw materials, utilisation of excavated tunnel material. Frank Pl\u00f6ger from Hochbahn U5 Projekt GmbH will discuss U5 metro line in Hamburg \u2013 a flagship climate-friendly transport infrastructure project.<\/p>\n
The scheduled theme for day two is Challenges in tunnelling. Kay M\u00fcller, project manager for the new Dresden-Prague Line, DB InfraGO AG, will outline Erzgebirgstunnel, a cross-border project of the century with Germany\u2019s longest railway tunnel; Rainer Haschke, of Fernbahntunnel Frankfurt am Main, DB InfrGO, will focus on Frankfurt\/Main mainline railway tunnel, construction of an inner-city tunnel with an underground station; and Gerhard Cordes from Femern A\/S will talk about the Fehmarn Belt fixed link \u2013 the world\u2019s longest immersed tunnel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
