{"id":17406,"date":"2024-07-12T07:26:33","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T07:26:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=17406"},"modified":"2024-07-12T07:26:33","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T07:26:33","slug":"winner-of-gothenburg-rail-contract-is-veidekke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=17406","title":{"rendered":"Winner of Gothenburg rail contract is Veidekke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to building the Haga\u2013Otterh\u00e4llan section of the V\u00e4stl\u00e4nken railway connection beneath central Gothenburg, Veidekke was appointed on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a cost-plus contract, the estimated value for this project is SKr430m (\u00a331.78m) excluding VAT.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stretching almost 500m between Rosenlundsplatsen and the Harbour Canal, the works consists of a double-track tunnel and two service tunnels in rock, whereas in this subproject, V\u00e4stl\u00e4nken is due to pass several underground structures such as the G\u00f6tatunnel, garages, and shelters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Including a 6km rail tunnel, that is under the city of Gothenburg, V\u00e4stl\u00e4nken, or the West Link, is an 8km-long double track railway and it is slated to link commuter rail services to existing routes and include three new underground stations at Gothenburg Central Station, Haga and Korsv\u00e4gen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The division of project based on a geographical conditions of the route includes five packages, Olskroken, Centralen, Kvarnberget, Haga and Korsv\u00e4gen.
