{"id":16098,"date":"2024-04-18T06:33:32","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T06:33:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=16098"},"modified":"2024-04-18T06:33:32","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T06:33:32","slug":"concluding-contract-for-dubai-road-tunnel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=16098","title":{"rendered":"Concluding Contract for Dubai Road Tunnel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Advancement of the Al Khaleej Street Tunnel Project, is due to continue under a contract that has been granted by Dubai\u2019s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Running from the end of the ramp of the recently-built Infinity Bridge in Deira to the intersection of Al Khaleej and Cairo Streets, this six-lane tunnel will be 1.65km-long and have the capacity to carry up to 12,000 vehicles per hour in both directions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The RTA\u2019s Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project which develops for 13km along Sheikh Rashid Road, Al Mina Street, Al Khaleej Street, and Cairo Street, also involves this tunnel as a part of its Phase 4.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The responsibility of overseen this project is up to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tunnelsonline.info\/aboutus\/tti\/aboutus.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">T&#038;TI<\/a> has contacted the RTA for more information on the company awarded the contract.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Advancement of the Al Khaleej Street Tunnel Project, is due to continue under a contract that has been granted by Dubai\u2019s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
