{"id":14120,"date":"2023-12-02T08:59:47","date_gmt":"2023-12-02T08:59:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=14120"},"modified":"2023-12-02T08:59:47","modified_gmt":"2023-12-02T08:59:47","slug":"starting-up-the-training-scheme-by-webuild","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=14120","title":{"rendered":"Starting up the training scheme by Webuild"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Skilling next generations in mechanized excavation through a training program was launched by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webuildgroup.com\/en\/\" target=\"-blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Webuild<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to providing candidates with specialized training, employment, accommodation and a skills certification system, Canitere Lavoro Italia was launched in Belpasso, Sicily, last week and the intention of Webuild is training 10,000 people over the next three years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event was attended by president of the Region of Sicily Renato Schifani, Webuild CEO Pietro Salini and Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) chairman Dario Lo Bosco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for Training and Employment between Webuild and the Region of Sicily, and the inauguration of the island\u2019s first automated pre-cast concrete segment factory, was coincided with this launch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The collaboration with the business group, which has major orders to equip Sicily with more modern infrastructure, today takes on an innovative character. Training carried out in synergy with the production sector, with a focus on the real needs of businesses, is a priority of the regional Sicilian government. The agreement signed this morning definitely heads in this direction: public works must also create high-level know-how and professionalism, on site, which will always remain expendable in the labour market,&#8221; said Renato Schifani.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to RFI chairman Dario Lo Bosco: &#8220;Our collaboration with Webuild creates a new industry and a school that will train young talent in Sicily and in the rest of Italy. Post-graduate training in technical disciplines with regard to employment, will create a specialist workforce in construction sites.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cantiere Lavoro Italia comprises three schools covering roles such as excavator miners and plant engineers through to buyers and TBM engineers.
