{"id":14088,"date":"2023-11-30T08:47:17","date_gmt":"2023-11-30T08:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=14088"},"modified":"2023-11-30T08:47:17","modified_gmt":"2023-11-30T08:47:17","slug":"e6-highway-in-norway-skanska-signs-the-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=14088","title":{"rendered":"E6 Highway in Norway &#8211; Skanska Signs the Contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Involving an 800m tunnel, constructing of the new E6 highway in Norway has been awarded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skanska.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skanska<\/a>, in joint venture with <a href=\"https:\/\/syltern.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Syltern<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The contract, which comprises of the design and build of almost 15km of new E6 road between Berk\u00e5k and Vind\u00e5sliene, including the tunnel, a new intersection and link to the existing E6, six bridges and two wildlife crossings, concluded with the public road construction company Nye Veier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Being certified to BREEAM Infrastructure Whole Team Award level Very Good and halve CO2 emissions during construction, are the purposes of this project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to increasing traffic safety and capacity on the current E6 south of Trondheim to stimulate development in the region, this E6 Berk\u00e5k-Vind\u00e5sliene project is part of a long-term work. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The scheduled date for commencing construction work is spring next year and detailed engineering is due to start immediately, while autumn 2024 is determined time for completing the road.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Involving an 800m tunnel, constructing of the new E6 highway in Norway has been awarded to Skanska, in joint venture with Syltern.
