{"id":14050,"date":"2023-11-29T10:21:09","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T10:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=14050"},"modified":"2023-11-29T10:21:09","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T10:21:09","slug":"network-rail-tenders-1-1bn-eastern-civils-and-buildings-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=14050","title":{"rendered":"Network Rail Tenders \u00a31.1bn Eastern Civils and Buildings Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkrail.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Network Rail<\/a> has asked firms to bid for a \u00a31.1bn framework for reactive and small scheme works that cover its building and civil assets within the eastern region over five years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The framework includes work associated with reactive call-outs, scheduled preventative maintenance works, and small projects for the period known as Control Period 7, from April 2024 to March 2029.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a contract notice issued on 22 November, the infrastructure provider declared that the framework will be divided into four lots across the eastern region:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lot 1 involves civil assets on the North, East, East Coast, and East Midlands routes.<\/li>\n<li>Lot 2 concerns civil assets on the Anglia route.<\/li>\n<li>Lot 3 involves building assets on the North, East, East Coast, and East Midlands routes.<\/li>\n<li>Lot 4 concerns building assets on the Anglia route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Work that could be provided under the framework incorporates geotechnical small project emerging works; maintenance of footbridges, under bridges, over bridges, tunnels, culverts; rock cuttings, soil cuttings, and earthworks first response; buildings on small scheme emerging works; and structures on small scheme emerging works covering structural integrity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is worth mentioning that the initial term of the framework is five years, with the chance to raise it for an additional two years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, interested parties can submit their tenders or requests by 15 January 2024.
