Bosnia’s state-owned motorway firm, JP Autoceste FBiH, expressed it has launched a tender for the completion of the 5.5-kilometer-long Hranjen tunnel, a project worth $67.7 million\/63 million euro (123.3 million Marka), VAT excluded.<\/p>\n
Autoceste FBiH said in a press release that the scheduled works contain boring the last part of the tunnel, constructing the primary substructure, and installing the secondary lining, plus the preparation of project documentation for the final phase of the tunnel construction.<\/p>\n
The deadline for the work completion is 30 months. The government of Bosnia’s Federation and Autoceste FBiH have funded the program. However, interested parties can present bids until October 19.<\/p>\n
It is worth mentioning that the Hranjen tunnel is part of the Praca-Gorazde expressway, which is presently under construction. The Praca-Gorazde expressway will connect the Bosnian capital Sarajevo to the town of Gorazde, located about 100 kilometers to the southeast.<\/p>\n
