{"id":12462,"date":"2023-08-14T12:09:34","date_gmt":"2023-08-14T12:09:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=12462"},"modified":"2023-08-14T12:09:34","modified_gmt":"2023-08-14T12:09:34","slug":"contractor-needed-for-super-sewer-testing-phase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=12462","title":{"rendered":"Contractor Needed for Super Sewer Testing Phase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tideway.london\/\" target=\"-blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tideway<\/a>, London\u2019s new super sewer client, is assigned to begin the search for a contractor to carry thousands of infrastructure assets via the project\u2019s performance and reliability testing step.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the complete excavation of the main tunnel and its connection tunnels and over 85% of the construction work finished, the Tideway team is preparing to enter a phase of \u2018system acceptance\u2019 \u2013 practically, securing the super sewer and its associated infrastructure functions as designed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also, as part of this, Tideway is searching to partner with a contractor to undertake the order of 3,000 planned maintenance activities per year across 21 London sites on MEICA and civil assets located at the surface and just below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The contractor will be responsible for any reactive maintenance actions as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tideway\u2019s Systems Performance &#038; Maintenance Manager, Andy Forestiero, pointed out: \u201cWe\u2019re entering a new phase of works on Tideway as we continue toward our ultimate goal of cleaning up the river Thames for generations to come.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added: \u201cAnd with this change of emphasis comes new opportunities.
