{"id":12157,"date":"2023-07-16T10:44:17","date_gmt":"2023-07-16T10:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=12157"},"modified":"2023-07-16T10:44:17","modified_gmt":"2023-07-16T10:44:17","slug":"grand-paris-express-vinci-led-consortium-concludes-the-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tunnelingworld.com\/?p=12157","title":{"rendered":"Grand Paris Express &#8211; Vinci-Led Consortium Concludes the Contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The design and build contract for the first section of Line 15 West of the Grand Paris Express, has been awarded to the Intencit\u00e9s15 consortium, which is led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vinci.com\/vinci.nsf\/en\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vinci<\/a> Construction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 du Grand Paris granted this contract with \u20ac2.71bn (US$3.04bn) value, while it covers turnkey engineering and construction of 14km of tunnels, five stations (Saint-Cloud, Rueil-Suresnes Mont-Val\u00e9rien, Nanterre La Boule, Nanterre La Folie and La D\u00e9fense), as well as a set of tail tracks and 16 service buildings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Linking to Transilien Lines L and U at Saint-Cloud and at La D\u00e9fense, RER Line E at Nanterre La Folie, and RER Lines A and E, metro Line 1 and Transilien tramway Line T2 at La D\u00e9fense, Line 15 West is due to develop Line 15 South. The scheduled date for inauguration of this section is late 2031.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Decreasing its environmental footprint during construction, including using mainly low carbon concrete, is the intention of this consortium.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Intencit\u00e9s15 consortium comprises Vinci Construction subsidiaries (Vinci Construction Grands Projets, Chantiers Modernes Construction, Dodin Campenon Bernard, and ETF), Vinci Energies (SDEL Infi), Razel-Bec, Fayat Energie Services, Ing\u00e9rop, Artelia, JFS Architectes, Grimshaw, AREP Architectes, Archi 5 Prod and Philippe Gazeau Architecte.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As Europe\u2019s largest sustainable transport project, the Grand Paris Express is slated to extend the French capital\u2019s metro and light rail network by 200km, improving connections between the city center and suburban areas.
