The building is anticipated to begin at the beginning of next year and finish in July 2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bid of the Metrostav Norway consortium was selected over those from NCC Norway and the consortium of H\u00e6hre and PNC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The E8 is a 1,410km European path that runs from Troms\u00f8, Norway, to Turku in Finland and contains five tunnels \u2013 and is famous for challenging winter conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Troms\u00f8, with a population of just below 80,000, is Norway\u2019s biggest northern city \u2013 and 355km north of the Arctic Circle. Turku, a city of 200,000, is located at the mouth of the Aura River in the southwest corner of Finland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Indre Laukslett and S\u00f8rbotn are both villages on the edge of Ram Fjord, with Laukslett being north of S\u00f8rbotn and nearly 22km south of Troms\u00f8.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Nordisk Tillv\u00e4xt, a strategic planning and pre-construction consultancy operating across the Nordics, the E8 project between Indre Laukslett and S\u00f8rbotn will cost approximately \u20ac195 million. Nordisk Tillv\u00e4xt provides support throughout the pre-qualification, tender and bid processes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 10m-wide S\u00f8rbotn and Laukslett section of the E8 will have avalanche protection at vital points.
