Also, it comes after Systra\u2019s 2021 acquisition of SWS, a leading tunneling design company based in Italy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alana Newbrook, Systra CEO, declared: \u201cAs we look to continue the growth of our cities and move to a net zero future, tunneling provides a solution to enable mass transit along with providing opportunities for energy storage and creation through dams, pumped hydro and trenchless projects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are excited to further bolster our global offering in complex engineering solutions and add to our global expertise in bridges and tunnels with the acquisition of Bamser.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She also stated: \u201cWith a large pipeline of major infrastructure projects to be delivered, and significant skills shortage in the tunneling space, our clients and partners will benefit from our expanded service offering, deepening our global leadership in underground engineering and bringing it to the ANZ market at a time when most needed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bamser has been engaged in some of the biggest infrastructure projects in Australia, encompassing Sydney Metro, Western Harbour Tunnel, West Connex, Suburban Rail Link, Airport Link, Legacy Way, and Cross River Rail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ben Crosby, Bamser director, asserted: \u201cBy combining our strengths, Systra in design and Bamser in delivery, our current and future clients gain a broader service offering across more of the project life cycle, from the advisors that they know and trust.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Systra Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) has acquired Bamser, the Australia-based infrastructure advisory company, to strengthen its expertise in tunnels and bridges.
