The planned date for inauguration of the first 70km section, that links the H\u00e4rkingen-Niederbipp hub with Zurich, is 2031 and by 2045 Cargo Sous Terrain is going to create a 500km nationwide network.<\/p>\n<p- style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to creating the legal basis for the privately financed freight transport project, application of the law on underground goods transport from August 1, 2022 was approved by Switzerland\u2019s Federal Council in June last year.
