A tunneling contract for the construction of the new twin metro rail tunnels was awarded to the Ghella CPB Contractors Joint Venture in December 2021.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 1.5rem;\">The rail system that shapes cities<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Providing an integrated transportation system for Western Parkland City relies on Sydney Metro &#8211; Western Sydney Airport. There are several established centers within Western Parkland City, including Greater Penrith, Liverpool, and Campbelltown-Macarthur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2031, the airport is expected to support nearly 28,000 direct and indirect jobs and contribute to the development of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, in the heart of Western Parkland City.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is anticipated that the Aerotropolis will generate approximately 200,000 new jobs in sectors such as aerospace and defence, manufacturing, freight and logistics, tourism, and research.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The third and final contract has been signed, and Sydney Metro&#8216;s Peter Regan and Angela Jeffrey discuss all things Sydney Metro &#8211; Western Sydney Airport.
