Since the Bagmati Province government was not able to construct the tunnel itself, and the federal government had not authorized a budget for it, the government have decided to hold the work on the Posta Bahadur Bogati (Bhimphedi-Kulekhani) tunnel building.
The Posta Bahadur Bogati (Bhimphedi-Kulekhani) Tunnel Construction Project contains a twin-tube tunnel (7.5m wide and 6.6 m high), T1 -3.20 Km and T2 – 3.17 Km in length, with the approach road nearly 1.9 km on the Bhemphedi side and about 0.6 km on the Kulekhani side with bridges and culverts.
