Bauma Conexpo India Postponed

Due to the impact of Covid-19, Bauma Conexpo India, the construction trade show, which was going to be held from 3-6 November 2020 in Gurugram/New Delhi has been postponed to February 23-26 of next year.

The show’s organizers Messe München, in a press release commented that, considering the increase in the pandemic as well as domestic and international travel restrictions imposed by the Indian Government, rescheduling the trade fair is a deliberate decision.

CEO, bC Expo India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Bhupinder Singh stated, “We have arrived at the decision to postpone bauma Conexpo India after thorough market assessment and consultation with our key stakeholders. The postponement is in the best interest of the exhibitors and visitors.”

At the time of writing, India has over 1.48 million confirmed cases of Covid-19 with more than 33,400 deaths from the disease. The total number of cases has seen a large boost in July and fears exist that this trend will continue.

Mr. Arvind K. Garg from Larsen & Toubro and Chairman, bauma Conexpo India Business has been supported the decision to postpone the show. He mentioned, “We are in an unprecedented situation that has affected our industry significantly. This decision to reschedule bauma Conexpo India, is in accordance with the feedback we received from both our important stakeholders—exhibitors and customers.”
